And so I ask you fellow gentiles, fellow Wise Ones in the room, have you experienced your second birth knowing the Lord of Lords; the King of Kings lives and desires to live in your hearts? Are you ready to fast the things that keep you from Christ and offer the things that draw you near in these 21-days? Are you ready to be living the life you love? Will you bow down to Him, will you give to Him what you have? Even if it is not costly gold, holy frankincense or anointed myrrh. Christ will take what ever you have to give and make it costly, holy and anointed!
The scriptures tell us that the Magi went home another way! You see they were filled with dreams that changed them, that gave them second birth when they encountered Christ. They wanted to go in another direction and not head back to the nothingness that Herod offered!
Today, as we have worshipped God together, I ask you what will you give the King…the Christ Child? Will you give your all: your questions and uncertainties. What I am talking about here is, our secrets, our vices and addictions; all the things that Paul talks about that we shouldn’t do. But can’t help from keep on doing. God desires and longs for us to give everything that we have. To fall to our knees to offer our entire lives to share our most intimate secrets, our confession and when we do, when we empty our selves, God will then be able to fill us with good things! God promises to go with us this other way! He will go with you. I will fill you with new life; I will give you the ability to dream new dreams and do the unbelievable. I will give you the ability to stand up and walk home in a new direction. And I am now with you and my light will guide you.
Choose to go home another way…indeed the way that God has for you, a way that you could be living the life you love.
