A Message from Your Lay Leadership Committee
The task of the Lay Leadership Committee is to nominate and help to equip members to elected committees and teams in the congregation. Since the first part of September your Lay Leadership Committee has been praying, discerning and nominating individuals to various areas of ministry. On November 7, at Charge Conference, your leadership will elect the 2012 Roster to their tasks. Lay Leadership nominates individuals for ministry in the following areas:

 

ADMINISTRATIVE:
Trustees; Finance; Staff/Pastor Parish Relations; Lay Leadership and the Christian School Board

 

(individuals on these teams are affirmed to serve not elected): Worship; Children’s Ministry; Education including Small Group Leaders; Evangelism; Missions; Youth Ministry If you have been in ministry at First UMC for more than three months; have been through membership class and feel you are gifted in an ADMINISTRATIVE area of ministry or as a chair of a MINISTRY team. Please see Kenny Youngman, our Lay Leader or Pastor Alexis Talbott, the chair of Lay Leadership in the next weeks.
