A Half and Full Marathon, hosted by
World Vision, Inc., are being held on January 29, 2012 in down-town Miami to benefit children devastated by the earthquake in Haiti. World Vision, Inc. is a Christian humanitarian, non-profit organization that fights global poverty and funds generated by this event will be used to purify water for children in Haiti. We have formed a First United Methodist Christian Church (FUMC) Team to participate in the event and need your help to meet our fundraising goal of $10,000. If you would like to run or walk the half or full marathon, you need to (1) Join the FUMC team online at
teamworldvision.org/goto/fumchomestead and (2) Register for the race at
http://www.ingmiamimarathon.com. Also, please email Alicia LoGalbo at AliciaLogalbo@gmail.com (or call at 757-303-9550) if you plan to join the FUMC team so you can keep informed of training events and race information or to request additional information. Can’t run or walk the event? Please help us meet our FUMC fundraising goal by donat-ing for the event at
teamworldvision.org/goto/fumchomestead or by donating cash or checks (made out to World Vision) at the Church Office. You can make a general donation to our FUMC team or support a fundraising goal for an individual on the FUMC team. All donations are tax-deductible.
