 WHY JOIN A SMALL GROUP?
Hebrews 10 23-25 says: Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

 

As a Christian congregation, First United Methodist Church and School is moving toward becoming a small group church. It is in small group that disciples of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus are strengthen for the work of the church and equipped to spread Good News in their everyday lives. Small group study is an intentional training ground for you to become ready to be an important part of God's Redemptive Power in Christ Jesus!
 
Not only are you equipped to touch others for Christ through a small group but small group will touch you! Taking time from your busy weekly schedule for small group study will actually cause you to better source your time and energy because you are accountable to at least five others. Meeting with your small group each week will strengthen your own journey with Christ and prepare you for Sunday morning worship!
